A widely-used programming language that is the core of many operating systems. Other languages are branches that use this language as the backbone. 

  • Flexible Programming Language

    Developed in the 70's to be used as a middle level language. This means that it can interact with a computer’s hardware as well as the higher levels, such as the operating system.

  • Some Skills Needed

    This programming language is very particular in its syntax and can be very difficult to learn without some fundamental understanding of programming.

  • Widely Applicable

    It's not the oldest language, but it is the basis for many modern languages, such as C#, C++, Java, Javascript, Python, and many more. Mastering this language will make learning others much easier.
